Installation instructions

NOTE:  The beta releases SHOULD NOT be installed on the same machine as an existing production release.  If you do so you WILL REPLACE your production installation.

You should not point your Captell Beta installation at a production database, doing so may upgrade the database and prevent your production version from accessing it.

All Captell components

Backup your existing Captell databases.

Download the package using the link to the left, double click the Captell_Setup.msi file and the CAPTELL INSTALLER utility program will be installed.

The Captell Installer utility program can be accessed via the Start --> All Programs --> Captell --> Installation --> Captell Installer icon.

The first dialog to be presented requests a path to your Captell license file, this must be completed before the full installation can occur.

NOTE: Starting with Captell 6.11 a new licensing model is in effect.  You must contact Captell Developments to obtain a new license file before installing 6.11 or subsequent releases

Complete the various tabs at the bottom of the installer dialog and click Install to install the selected Captell components.
